Only Do What Adds Value!

So much to do so little time. I have been like many of you out there. I have even said it repeatedly that I needed 36 hours in a day. It wasn’t until recently that I decided to only do things of value. I soon realized that I had the time to do my priority tasks and still have time for myself. Growth comes to us when we have time, so we must make time now. Today write a list of everything you think you need to do. Then next to it add a letter of priority. A very important. B important. C not important.

Now highlight each item with a different color so that you can stay focused on only that priority level. For the first half of your day focus on only the important tasks. Then do the next batch. You will soon see how much extra time you have. The art of this process will be for you to only do what adds value. Soon you will become so focused on value tasks that you will not entertain anyone giving you a fire and ask you to put it out.
